Skaven Haven is a pretty active poster on numerous online groups devoted to Oldhammer in general and Skaven in particular. It was seeing some pics of his army online that motivated me to ask him if he minded me sharing them on this blog. And that ultimately led to the conception of this series, way back when.

Iain was nice enough not only to assent, but also to email me copious pictures to use, which I've been sitting on for an unforgivable span of time.

Warlord Clan

There are two things that immediately jump out at you looking at this army (three if you count just "damn, that's a lot of work"). The first is that like the previous entry in the series, there is some obvious influence from Andy Chamber's Skaven army. Particularly in regards to the banners. The second, however, is that unlike Nico's purely Oldhammer interpretation, Skaven Haven blends in newer models with the old. It bespeaks of Iain's strong conveyance of coherency through his painting choices that these disparate elements blend together seamlessly.

The End Times

Skaven Haven also provided numerous shots of his utterly impressive army "in action", and it warms the heart to know that these guys made it to the table on a regular basis.

In his own words:
"My mate and I played through all 6 of the scenarios in End times IV - Thanquol - using my skaven and his dwarf and lizardmen armies. "
